The works on paper are biographical in nature and are rooted in Chicago's inner city violence. The images depicted are derived from memories that shaped my experience as a youth and events I've been witness to that continue to affect me as an adult. My environment is the focal point and I use it to generate narratives that communicate the immediacy of these issues and their long lasting effects on my community.
